Job Description

1.  Structural Calculation & Design

• Performing structural calculations (allowable stress calculations) for wooden houses in accordance with Japan's Building Standards Act.

• Creating structural drawings (floor framing plans and framing elevations) and hardware layout drawings using specialized software.

2.  Technical Support

• Responding to technical inquiries from clients (Japanese construction companies and design firms).

• Making corrections and responding to structural issues raised by authorities during building confirmation applications.

Requirements

◆   Must-Have

• Education: Vocational school or junior college graduate or above (a background in architecture or engineering preferred).

• Japanese: Conversational level or above (equivalent to JLPT N3).

• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on work in wooden structural design (experience in the construction industry based on Japanese design standards).

• Proficiency with specialized CAD software (AutoCAD, 3D CAD, etc.).

• Hands-on experience with design and modeling using BIM (Revit, etc.).

• Able to comfortably produce materials and reports using Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint, etc.).

◆   Nice-to-Have

• Hands-on experience at a Japanese-affiliated company in structural design, or direct communication and review experience with counterparts in Japan

• Work experience in structural design (particularly wooden structural design) in Japan

• Experience using specialized advanced analysis tools such as structural calculation software (wooden structural design, plant design)

• Experience mentoring junior members or building QA processes

• Beyond general staff-level experience, demonstrated leadership ability and management experience needed to lead a team as a future leader candidate

• Sense of responsibility: able to maintain an 80% utilization rate and take strong ownership of deadlines and quality (“Japan quality”)

• Flexibility: willing to proactively engage in standardizing operations and building processes at a newly launched site

• Leadership: able to serve as a role model for junior members and inspire the team as we expand toward a 50-person organization

Benefits

• Work Location: 90 Nguyễn Hữu Cảnh, Phường 22, Bình Thạnh, HCMC

• Salary: 20,000,000–30,000,000 VND (gross/month, including all allowances).

• Working Hours: Monday–Friday: Flexible hours (e.g., 8:00–17:00 / 9:00–18:00); Saturday: Every other week (remote work).

• Days Off: Sundays, Saturdays (every other week), year-end/New Year holidays, Vietnamese public holidays, Tet holiday.

• Annual Paid Leave: In accordance with Vietnamese labor law.

• Probation Period: 60 days (100% of salary paid).

• Salary Review: Once a year (January), with regular raises based on company and individual performance.

• Bonus: Paid based on company and individual performance.

• Social Insurance: After the probation period, enrolled in social insurance, health insurance, and labor accident insurance together with the formal contract (in accordance with Vietnamese labor law).

• Other Allowances: Vietnam: meal allowance, commuting allowance, communication allowance, Japanese language qualification allowance, etc.; Japan (if seconded): housing allowance, home leave travel costs, commuting allowance, meal allowance, etc.
