Job Description

1.  Planning & Basic Design

• Reviewing plant specifications and piping design drawings through meetings with manufacturer representatives

• Selecting pipe sizes and materials, and planning optimal piping routes

2.  Detailed Design

• Creating fabrication and installation drawings using 2D or 3D CAD (Plant 3D, etc.)

• Creating drawings for piping support structures

3.  Analysis & Evaluation

• Evaluating appropriate flow behavior within piping through fluid analysis

• Confirming and evaluating piping strength and safety through stress analysis

4.  Quality & Schedule Management

• Adhering to Japanese design standards and maintaining a high-quality QA (quality assurance) system

Requirements

◆   Must-Have:

• Education: Vocational school or junior college graduate or above (a background in architecture or engineering preferred)

• Japanese: Conversational level or above (equivalent to JLPT N3)

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on work in the plant industry (experience in the plant industry based on Japanese design standards)

• Proficiency with specialized CAD software (Plant 3D, etc.)

• Hands-on experience with design and modeling using BIM (Revit, etc.)

• Able to comfortably produce materials and reports using Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint, etc.)

◆   Nice-to-Have

• Hands-on experience at a Japanese-affiliated company in the plant field, or direct communication and review experience with counterparts in Japan

• Work experience in the plant field in Japan

• Experience using specialized advanced analysis tools such as calculation software (plant design)

• Experience mentoring junior members or building QA (quality assurance) processes

• Beyond general staff-level experience, demonstrated leadership ability and management experience needed to lead a team as a future leader candidate

• Growth mindset: motivated to become a “highly skilled engineer” capable of design proposals and consulting, not just a “drafting operator”

• Sense of responsibility: able to maintain an 80% utilization rate and take strong ownership of deadlines and quality (“Japan quality”)

• Flexibility: willing to proactively engage in standardizing operations and building processes at a newly launched site

• Leadership: able to serve as a role model for junior members and inspire the team as we expand toward a 50-person organization

Benefits

• Work Location: 90 Nguyễn Hữu Cảnh, Phường 22, Bình Thạnh, HCMC

• Salary: 30,000,000–50,000,000 VND (gross/month, including all allowances)

• Working Hours: Monday–Friday: Flexible hours (e.g., 8:00–17:00 / 9:00–18:00), Saturday: Every other week (remote work)

• Days Off: Sundays, Saturdays (every other week), year-end/New Year holidays, Vietnamese public holidays, Tet holiday

• Annual Paid Leave: In accordance with Vietnamese labor law

• Probation Period: 60 days (100% of salary paid)

• Salary: 30,000,000–50,000,000 VND (gross/month, including all allowances) * An offer above the stated amount is possible depending on current salary, past work history, and ability.

• Salary Review: Once a year (January), with regular raises based on company and individual performance

• Bonus: Paid based on company and individual performance

• Social Insurance: After the probation period, enrolled in social insurance, health insurance, and labor accident insurance together with the formal contract

• Other Allowances: Vietnam: meal allowance, commuting allowance, communication allowance, Japanese language qualification allowance, etc. Japan (if seconded): housing allowance, home leave travel costs, commuting allowance, meal allowance, etc.
